Share a memorial and funeral programme on WhatsApp
A memorial link can bring the programme, venues, photographs and life story into one place. Before you send it to family or community groups, check that the page is published, the details are correct and the family is ready for it to be shared.
Individual memorial activation from R199 once-off. Features vary by package.
A thoughtful message with clear service information
Share the actual memorial link rather than only a screenshot. Guests can open the published page in a browser without creating a Peacee account.
Check the page before sending
Open the published memorial as a visitor and review the portrait, name, dates, programme and locations on your phone. Confirm that the family approves any public contact details and photographs. A preview or builder link is not a substitute for the published memorial link. Ask a relative to check the shared page before sending it more widely.
Add a short, respectful introduction
You might write: With love, we share the memorial page for [name]. The funeral programme and venue details are available here: [published memorial link]. Please refer to the page for the confirmed arrangements. Replace the placeholders, use the family's preferred wording and avoid including private information in a group message. Check group rules before posting.
Help relatives find the same information
Use the memorial's WhatsApp sharing action, or copy the published link into your message. Guests need internet access to open the page. A forwarded link can reach people beyond the original group, so treat published content as public. If an arrangement changes, review the page and tell the groups you have already contacted; a page edit does not automatically send an update to WhatsApp recipients.
Prepare, personalise and share
Step 1
Publish and check
Complete the applicable activation requirements, publish the memorial and open its public link to confirm the page is ready.
Step 2
Share with close family first
Use WhatsApp sharing or paste the memorial link into a message. Let a family representative confirm it opens correctly.
Step 3
Send to agreed groups
Share with the people and groups the family has approved. Keep a record of where updates may need to be sent.

Does a guest need a Peacee account to open the link?
No. Published memorials can be viewed in a web browser without signing in. The guest needs internet access; creating and managing a memorial requires an account.
Will everyone receive a notification if I edit the page?
No. Updating a memorial does not automatically message the people who received a WhatsApp link. Send a separate update when an important arrangement changes.
Is a WhatsApp-shared memorial private?
No. The memorial link can be forwarded. Share only the information and photographs the family is comfortable making public, and do not treat the link as access control.
Can I share through another messaging app?
Yes. Copy the published memorial link and paste it into the messaging service you use. Check that it opens as expected before sending it widely.
