Celebrating the Life of Nomsa Dlamini
We gather to celebrate the life, love, and legacy of Nomsa Dlamini, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Nomsa touched countless lives through her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering generosity. Her door was always open, her table always shared, and her laughter filled every room she entered.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7
Life Story
Nomsa was born in Soweto on 12 March 1958, the second of five children. She dedicated 35 years of her life to teaching mathematics at Ithuteng Secondary School, where generations of learners came to know her as a patient mentor and mother figure. She married her beloved Themba in 1982, and together they built a home filled with music, faith, and family. In retirement, Nomsa devoted herself to her garden, her church community, and her seven grandchildren, who knew her simply as 'Gogo'.
Survived By
Her husband Themba Dlamini; children Sipho, Lerato, and Thandi; seven grandchildren; and her sisters Dikeledi and Mapule.
Preceded By
Her parents, Samuel and Grace Dlamini, and her brother Petrus.
